Di Prima Catering began as a dream shared by Chef Marcus Roberto and his wife Fernanda. After winning the World Pizza Championship twice (2017 & 2019), defeating over 800 of the world's best chefs in Parma, Italy, Marcus brought his championship expertise to the catering world.
"Di Prima" means "top quality" in Italian, and this philosophy guides everything we do. What started as Personal Pizza Chef has evolved into Di Prima Catering—a full-service catering company that brings world-class culinary experiences to celebrations across Los Angeles.
For 18 years, we've been honored to serve in so many events, creating unforgettable moments through exceptional food, impeccable service, and genuine care for every detail.
Meet Our Team
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Chef Marcus Roberto discovered his passion for pizza at a young age. Trained in both Brazil and Italy, he mastered the art of traditional Neapolitan pizza-making while developing his own innovative style that honors Italian tradition with Brazilian creativity.
After moving to Los Angeles 18 years ago, Marcus quickly became a fixture in the culinary scene, earning recognition for his commitment to organic ingredients, traditional techniques, and exceptional flavor profiles.
His crowning achievements came at the World Pizza Championship in Parma, Italy, where he competed against the world's elite pizza chefs and earned multiple titles, including 5th Best Pizza Chef in the World.
